Introduction
There is an obvious need in today's world for a better understanding of Muslim contributions to science and an even more pressing need to familiarise the youth of Islamic countries with their scientific heritage. Thus, this three-day symposium has the following objectives:
   
To highlight the importance of acquired scientific knowledge with respect to revealed knowledge.
To provide historical information on the contribution of science and technology and the achievements of Muslim scientists to human civilization.
To enhance the public awareness toward the importance and contribution of Muslim scientists in science, technology and innovation for the well being of the Islamic world.
To strengthen capacity building in science and technology among scientists.
To promote a developmental approach while nurturing a creative society, social harmony and economic progress through the application of Science, Technology and Innovation.
